Project Description:

This project was a design proposal for a home Inspired by Irving Gill's design theory of pure forms, rigid straight line work, contrasting arches within voids, and use of landscape as ornamentation; we created a simplistic, yet elegantly complex two story single family home which sits over a basement level. This structure in its purest form is an arrangement of prisms interconnected by a circulatory void which fills itself with light and shadows to take full advantage of contemporary materials and California's weather.
